Will Counseling make me feel better Immediately?
The reality is that often times therapy is a dance with the uncomfortable. There will be a lot of unpacking and unpeeling of layers, which may require you to “walk through the fire.” I know therapy can be hard but the other side is better. I promise you, that speaking about your joys and wins is equally important in our sessions.
How many Counseling Sessions Do I need?
Everyone’s circumstances are unique to them. The length of time counseling can take to allow you to accomplish your goals depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek counseling in the first place.
Do you work with children?
I do not work with children at this time.
However, if you are a school or children’s non-profit interested in a sound healing demonstration, please contact me.
Do You take INsurance?
I do not currently contract with insurance companies, but can provide receipts for possible out of network benefits. Please check directly with your insurance company.
Counseling therapy sliding scales are available for those who need it.
Scholarships are available to BIPOC folx who would like to attend sound healing workshops. Please inquire.
Is therapy confidential?
What we discuss in our sessions is completely confidential, and information is never released without your written consent. The legal exceptions to this are:
- Suspected child abuse or dependent adult/elder abuse
- A client who threatens to physically harm themself or others.
Do you offer therapy remotely?
Yes, as long as I see you for some face to face sessions we can meet via video some of the time.
WHAT Do I need to know about MY SOUND session?
Please wear light loose clothing as singing bowls will be placed on and around your body. There is nothing asked of you except that you keep an open mind and sink into the experience of relaxation and entrainment.
HOW Often should I come for SOUND THERAPY?
There is no “right” frequency of sessions. Some people find it works best to come every week. For others, coming every 2 or 3 weeks or even monthly feels more appropriate to them.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to reschedule, please contact me via email at least 24 hours prior to the appointment.
All appointments missed, not cancelled or rescheduled after 24 hours notice will be charged in full. If you are using a package of sessions to pay for said appointment, you will be charged one of your package appointments.
